Easy BBQ Country Pork Ribs

Easy BBQ Country Pork Ribs

These easy BBQ country pork ribs are one of the simplest recipes I have on this site. Whenever country pork ribs are on sale I usually pick up a package, since you can feed an army with them and they’re super easy to prepare. I season them with salt and pepper, brush them with my favorite barbeque sauce, then bake them until they are fall-off-the-bone tender.

For another super simple pork dinner, try my apricot breaded pork chops.

Prep Time 5 minutes

Cook Time 3-3.5 hours

Serves 4

Ingredients

2-3 lbs Country Style Pork Ribs

Salt & Pepper, to taste

Your favorite BBQ sauce (I love Sweet Baby Ray’s)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300°F. Season both sides of the ribs with salt and pepper then place in a single layer in a roasting pan, fattier side up.

Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours. Carefully remove ribs from the oven and check the ribs. They should be starting to become tender. (If they still feel tough, re-cover them and place them back in the oven for 15 to 30 minutes.) Transfer ribs to a plate, drain the liquid from the pan, then return ribs to tray and brush with a generous coating of BBQ sauce.

Turn the oven down to 275°F and bake ribs, uncovered, for 1 hour more, or until you can pull the meat apart with a fork (if your ribs were small and already pretty tender when you put them back in the oven, start checking after 20 minutes).

Brush with another coat of BBQ sauce then let them rest for roughly 5 minutes.

These easy BBQ country pork ribs pair perfectly with some mashed potatoes and green beans. Enjoy!
