Girl Scout Cookie Cocktails

Girl Scout Cookie Cocktails

These girl scout cookie cocktails are a fun spin on dessert. Rather than cake, brownies, or cookies, I wanted a chocolaty cocktail to avoid having leftover dessert in the house. After reading a post on Coastal Living about the best wine pairings with Halloween candy, I wound up down a rabbit hole of cocktails that tasted like my favorite Girl Scout cookies: the thin mint, and the Samoa.

Of course, if you would prefer cakes, brownies, or cookies, try my peanut butter chocolate cake, chocolate chip pecan brownies, or soft-baked chocolate chip cookies.

Prep Time 5 min

Serves 1 cocktail

Ingredients

Thin Mint Cocktail

1 oz each of Vodka*, Chocolate Liqueur, Creme de Menthe, and Irish Cream

Samoa Cocktail

2 oz Chocolate Liqueur

1 1/2 oz  each of Caramel Vodka and Malibu Rum

1 oz Half & Half

Chocolate and Caramel Syrups, optional (for garnish)

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, add ice, then add the drink ingredients of your preferred recipe.

Shake until thoroughly chilled, then pour your cocktail into your preferred glass and serve.

Notes

Thin Mints Cocktail: to reduce the “bite” of the alcohol feel free to scale back the vodka to 1/2 – 3/4 of an ounce.

Samoa Cocktail: to reduce the “bite” of the alcohol feel free to reduce either or both the caramel vodka and Malibu rum to 1 ounce.

*I substituted Whipped Cream vodka for plain vodka and both girl scout cookie cocktails tasted even better, but feel free to use either.
